Tupelo Bus Service

It does not take a consultant to figure out a transit system in Tupelo is not cost effective. Consultants tell you what you want to hear for a fee. It is true a small number of people in Tupelo have a difficult time getting places they need to go if they are alone. Most have family and friends help them. Some can afford a taxi when they need it. Very few ride bicycles in all kinds of weather but they do not have daily obligations like a regular employment. Many employers help organize car pools to get their workers to the business. The city would have spent better having a website where workers can share rides. Then we come to Uber, a service that helps both the car owner and the person needing a ride. But the greedy regulations set by the rich people in town to protect profits of the members of Create and CDF prevent competition to the taxi company. We need creative thinking not the slavery of old Mississippi to control wages, education and standard of living of those stuck in the poverty loop. Having children that they can not afford is a direct result of the strict abortion laws. Going into debt is a direct result of local marketing and low wages.

Lack of high paying vocations is a direct result of regulations in Mississippi like laws against cloning or needing a license to make a coffin. The education system is focused on making workers for corporations rather than the learning of the philosophy of life and how to pursue a life worth living. Technology is always changing so learning an obsolete technical skill is wasting time. Learning how to teach yourself is a skill that never becomes obsolete. A great community is measure by the virtue it teaches not the quest to get an award.

When we get better qualified people elected to the city council we will have a better community without public pools, public transit and recycle programs that cost the public rather than reward them for their efforts. Perhaps we should make roads with the recycled plastic. But that just might cut into the profits of the asphalt company member of CDF.
